Imagine that only a day after your husband is deployed, your baby strikes an amazingly high fever and the closest hospital is over 45 minutes away and it is late at night. That is exactly what happened to Jacquelyn Stonehocker as she tucked her two oldest children into bed and began rocking her baby Presley to sleep.

Unaware of what to do, Stonehocker waited the fever out and thought of something she had once heard from another mom. “I remembered hearing about the use of essential oils and that it was a natural way to help heal illness. From that event, I wanted to feel empowered to where I could try using something at home first, instead of rushing off to the emergency room.”
“I came across DoTerra oils as I was trying to find them in health foods stores. I didn’t know how to use essential oils and wanted some instruction. It was perfect timing when I found DoTerra because they are most pure oil that I could find and the company explains how to use each oil, “ said Stonehocker.
She’s now a representative for DoTerra teaching other moms how to use the oils. Her husband Jayson is very supportive. “It’s amazing everything that she has done with the oils. I wasn’t skeptical at all and wanted to try the oils out as well. I always thought that it couldn’t hurt,” said Jayson. “It’s great that she has found a way to make some extra money and help others at the same time.”

Today, Stonehocker can’t imagine her life without using the oils, especially on her children. If she had to pick just one Stonehocker said, “I couldn’t live without Melaleuca which is Tea Tree oil. I use it for my kids earaches and it’s an antiviral that can clean wounds.”

There are three ways you can use the oils: topically, internally or diffuse it. Here, Stonehocker adds a few drops of lemon to her water. (Photo by Lisa Jones/Full Sail University)
